My name is Charles T. Cochran and I’m a longtime fan of fantastic cinema as well as other media such as TV, comic books, and literature. Having grown up in the 1970s, I was exposed to decades of films on TV all at once. Universal films from the ’30s and ’40s, Hammer horrors, schlock classics, ’50s sci fi, and horrors & science fiction of the ’70s filled my youth. I was a teenager when the horror boom of the late ’70s, early ’80s happened. That was a great time watching double features at the Northgate cinema in Hazel Park Michigan. Many of the goriest films were unrated. And most theaters didn’t card us teens.

I started this blog when my time as a critic at Killerfilm.com ended. I still wanted to do some writing and since I’m a member of the Frightmeter Awards (http://www.frightmeterawards.com/) it made sense to do so. I’m no longer a part of The Frightmeter Award, though. I also wrote for HorrorNews.Net for a short time (https://horrornews.net/author/charles-cochran/).

Aside from this type of stuff I’m a big fan of rock music, currently leaning toward the progressive stuff. Favorites include King’s X, Porcupine Tree, Gov’t Mule, Opeth, The Cult, and many others. I also love country star, Dwight Yoakam.
